During your first visit, our neurologist will take a detailed medical history, review your symptoms, perform a neurological exam (testing strength, reflexes, coordination, memory, and sensation), and discuss any recommended tests or imaging that may help confirm a diagnosis. Bring a list of your symptoms, medications, and any previous test results to make the most of your appointment.

We provide on-site diagnostic testing, including:

Electroencephalogram (EEG) – evaluates brain electrical activity

Electromyography (EMG) – tests nerve and muscle function

Trigger point evaluations and other assessments that help refine diagnosis and guide treatment options.

You should consider a neurological evaluation if you experience persistent symptoms such as severe or frequent headaches, unexplained seizures, chronic dizziness or vertigo, memory loss, changes in strength or coordination, or unexplained numbness and tingling. A neurologist’s expertise ensures accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment planning.

Most prescriptions are refilled during follow-up visits. If a refill is needed between visits due to an urgent need, your pharmacy can contact our office directly. Please allow 24–48 hours for processing, and be aware that some medications may require an office visit to ensure safe ongoing management.

Test results are typically discussed with you during your next appointment. If results show something that requires immediate attention, our team will contact you as soon as possible.

A written list of symptoms (when they started, triggers, severity)

Follow any pre-test instructions provided by your care team. In general, come well-rested, wear comfortable clothing, avoid caffeine before tests like EMG or EEG when advised, and arrive early to complete any forms. Your neurologist will explain why each test is being recommended and how results help guide treatment.
